城区常住人口划分城市规模划分标准是由《关于调整城市规模划分标准的通知》[1]明确提出的城市划分标准，即新的城市规模划分标准以城区常住人口为统计口径，将城市划分为五类七档：小城市(Ⅰ型小城市、Ⅱ型小城市)、中等城市、大城市(Ⅰ型大城市、Ⅱ型大城市)、特大城市、超大城市。
